So what's happening with Burzum these days? Let's find out.

Well, honestly, not much because I am a person who does not work based on discipline. Instead, I work based on motivation. And most of the time, I'm not very motivated to work with music. It's not something that is important. It's not something I'm really good at.[1] It's not something I most of the time want to do. So I'm not making a lot of music. And it's not a bad thing. When I'm not inspired to make music, I'm inspired to do other things. So not being inspired to make music is not a bad thing, that's my point. There are plans to release "The Land of ThulĂȘ" tracks on a CD, but I'm not really working on it. So it's not going to happen anytime soon. And I'm not really sure if all of that music is worth releasing to begin with. So we will see about that.

When it comes to guitar playing itself, I never play the guitars except when I make videos. I pick up the guitar, turn on the camera and I play. I don't rehearse. I don't try to make music, don't enjoy playing. And that's the status of my guitar playing, not doing it really. And again, that's not a bad thing. I don't, because I like other things more, So I do other things instead, right?

And I'm not really enjoying playing the keyboard either to make the synthesizer tracks from Burzum. It takes forever and I don't have time for it don't really want to and I can do other things instead.

And honestly, I'm 52 years old. I have other priorities now than I did when I was 18 or 19. I have other responsibilities, duties, pleasures, interests, obligations. Burzum exists still but not like it did. And let's be honest here, there's little that is more cringe than these old grey haired musicians who still try to be 18 years old and who intellectually still are 18 years old walk around in their metal gear and play concerts. But maybe, you know, it's not even about growing up. It's about money because that's all they can do. That's all they're good for and that's what they are stuck with in life because that's what they did and that's all they can do. So I guess it's fine.

So to conclude this little egocentric talk, Burzum still exists semi productively or occasionally productively we could say. And yeah that's it really, thanks for watching.
  1. I am really good at making roleplaying game mechanics though.
