You know how they always want us to feel guilty for the age of colonisation and that we owe the immigrants to now come to Europe and take part of the wealth that we have here because we plundered their countries, we looted them and exploited them. But is this true? Let's find out.
About Piracy
Piracy is always presented in a very romantic way and popular entertainment makers think that the pirates were basically Europeans. In reality almost all, and I'm not saying all, but almost all pirates from the Middle Ages to modern times were Arab Muslims or[1] Berber Muslims or Turkish Muslims. And they were operating mainly in the Mediterranean.[2]
And what they did was to attack all European vessels and they would enslave the crew, enslave the passengers and steal everything they had and steal the ship as well. And then we bring it back to the North African coast or to the Middle East or to Turkey or rather the Ottoman Empire where they would sell the Europeans as slaves.[3] Between 1 and 1.5 million Europeans were enslaved this way and the[4] Muslim pirates were not only operating in the Mediterranean although they were mainly operating there, but they were actually operating as far north as Iceland. They were going ashore and plundering and stealing and enslaving Europeans for hundreds of years.[5]
In the 18th century, 19th century, France had had enough of this and had become powerful enough to do something about it. So France decided to attack the pirates in their home bases in North Africa and that's why they[6] colonized Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. So the colonization of Northern Africa by France was done to stop piracy, to stop the enslavement of hundreds of thousands of Europeans, to stop the sexual abuse of European women in (?), to stop the mistreatment of Europeans forced to work for the Muslims in North Africa. So they did not take North Africa to exploit them, to earn money and to steal their resources. No, they did it to stop their crimes against Europeans.
And I may add that these colonies that Europeans had they did not bring wealth to Europe. In fact the vast majority of them were just big economic holes. They were losing money on the colonies and it is not at all true that Europe was built by exploiting the colonies.[7] The claim that Europe was built from the wealth of the colonies is a lie and it is a lie that they[8] propagate because they want us to accept immigration. So France does not owe anything to the colonies in North Africa, nothing at all. They just stopped them from raping, from killing and looting Europeans.[9]
History is the lie we agree upon or so said Napoleon Bonaparte and this is true. The history we are taught in school is a lie and it's a lie on almost all levels of course except regarding World War II. Everything about we learn about World War II is of course true but everything else is a lie. It's just the lie of the victor. What they did in the past,[10] they told lies and then they banned the truth and then after some generations they didn't ban it anymore because then they didn't need to because you know nobody knew anymore. One thing is lies too but perhaps even worse is what they don't tell us.[11]
