NPC Mentality
There are many reasons why this ship is sinking, but one of the obvious reasons is of course that people are not very good with money, are they? And when they make money, instead of thinking, "Okay, I make this much money, what can I afford in this life?" Instead of that they go, "I make this much money, that means that if I go to the bank I can borrow that much, and then I can afford...", they think, "...all sorts of things". But how did we get there really? I can say let's find out, but I have no idea. But still, let's try to find out.
Come to think of it, I guess we could blame capitalism, because they have created an artificial need for all these items in life.[1]And also they have created a whole mentality in people. They think that they have to have a house where every single individual has its own bedroom. They have to have a house where the temperature is at least at a constant 70 degrees Fahrenheit.[2]They have to of course have a big ass widescreen TV. Everyone needs an iPhone. They have to have a modern car too. The car needs an infotainment screen, electric windows, unlike this one, heated seats,[3]and air conditioning, everything. And of course in the end they end up in huge debt, because they don't really afford it. But they have been told that they have to have it anyway. And instead of accepting reality and thinking that "well actually I can't afford this", they borrow money and they put themselves in debt and in chains, because that's what they in reality are, they are in chains. They're working and not for themselves, but for the bank to borrow the money so they could afford all these items, all these things that as we know will have to be replaced after some time, because they stop working.
So I put the blame on capitalism and consumerism, and of course somebody created that artificial need. But the real problem here is of course normal people, the NPCs who are manipulated by this, and so easily manipulated too. I went through childhood looking at people with a big wonder, why on earth are they following fashion for example? Who cares?

You think they look ridicules? I thought so too in the 80ies. And I probably think you look just as ridicules today, because fashion is no better today. Anyway, instead of delving too much on who's to blame for this, let's try to find a solution.
The solution is really simple. You do not care about what other people think. Doesn't matter if you have an old car and they look twice at you, so what? If your house is cold inside when it's winter, so what?[4]If you don't have an infotainment screen in the car, who cares? You're not wearing fashionable clothes, who cares? Stop caring about these stupid things. This might come as a shock to some of you, but not putting yourself into depth is a good thing. Realize that you are not a pharaoh, you're not a king, you do not deserve all these things. If you cannot afford it, you shouldn't have it. It's that simple. And not having it is not a bad thing. It's okay.
And mind you, the people who will complain when the economy goes down, when the food prices go up, it's the NPCs first and foremost. Because they have put themselves in a huge debt to get all these meaningless items that nobody forced them to buy. They are responsible themselves, and deep within they know it, they know they're idiots. And I'm not saying that "you will own nothing and be happy". You should try to own something, but you should try to own something that is useful for you, and you should try to own something that you can afford. And if you can afford it, you're not going to put yourself into debt to get it, and therefore you will not be a debt slave working to finance the banks and all their activities. And I can assure you that the activities of the banks and what they finance is not good for us 100%.

So, that's it really. Enjoy a simpler life, really. This car is from 1991, and yes, it's old, so it needs to be fixed every now and then. And I had to fix it as late as today, because the cooling system was leaking... again. It has been leaking many times. This is one of the weaknesses, one of the Achilles Heels of this particular type of vehicle. And all it took was a screwdriver and me getting under the car, and you know, that was it. Didn't need a big-ass laptop to connect to some computer to "analyze the problem", "find a solution". No, I can just fix it myself. And that's a lot cheaper too, I guess you realize. Anyway, thanks for watching. Bye bye.
If you can afford my books, I recommend you check them out. See link in the video description. If not do not buy them.

- On the other hand, people in the former Communist countries are the worst
when it comes to "material items" as status symbols. - 20 degrees Celsius
- Yeah, very much unlike this one.
- Actually, that is good for you, for your economy, but also for your health.
