Putin often talks about the Germans and how much the Russian people suffered because of the Germans. But are the Germans the only ones to blame for that? Let's find out.

A friend of mine, Oleg, told me a little story once. He told that his father was a soldier in the Red Army during World War II and he fought under a general or field marshal, Sukhov. And one time his battalion was ordered to retake a village that the Germans held. So the great general, Sukhov, ordered the first company to just storm the village. They were ordered to just run towards the village and take it. And the Germans just mowed them down to the last man. So I guess about 120 men were just shot down like that.

The great general, Sukhov, you would think that he would make a better plan for the next attack, right? And that he would think about the men that he ordered to attack. They had wives, daughters, sons, parents, mothers who bore them for nine months, parents who raised them, fed them, worked hard to educate them. But Sukhov just ordered the second company to charge, do the same, just run towards the village and retake it. And, big surprise, they too were mowed down by the Germans. Another 120 or so men, gone.

And now you would think, you know, wouldn't the great general Sukhov finally reconsider his plan and do something more sensible the next time? No. Oleg's father was in the third company and his company was ordered to do exactly the same, just run towards the Germans and retake the village. And they did. But by then the Germans had run out of ammo and they had withdrawn. So Oleg's father ran towards the village and found it abandoned by the Germans. So he survived. No thanks to Sukhov. No thanks to the Soviet military leadership.

And Oleg told me that his father hated Sukhov. He thought he was a fucking lunatic, a useless lunatic with no respect whatsoever for his men or their lives or their well-being. The only reason why he had such success during the war was because he was so willing to spend Russian blood. He was so willing to just let his men die. He didn't care.

Sukhov received a medal for retaking the village. When you consider stories like that you really have to understand that maybe, maybe, the Soviet military leadership had something to do with the huge losses on the Soviet side. That's it. Thanks for watching.

The Soviet Leadership is known for their mass murders of Ukrainians and Polish officers and a number of other atrocities. Less known is the fact that they first of all and most of all willingly, intentionally and enthusiastically murdered Russians.
