Some Advice from one Milk Cow to another.Do you remember this?Yes. That's the check engine light...Thank the GODS there is and onboard computer in this car. There is NO WAY I would have known something was wring without it.Yes, that would be a faulty catalysator. A fancy think they put on cars to reduce emissions.For technical control, this is of course a big no no. I will not be allowed to drive this car anymore, unless I replace the catalysator.Replacing one is filthy expensive though. There is GOLD and PLATINUM in catalysators (Oy gevalt...).A new one will set me back between 700 (EU V) and 1000 (EU III) EUROs!And if I get the cheapest one, I might not pass anyhow, because of extreme regulations.So why bother? It's a 9 year old Lada (VAZ 21214), worth no more than maybe 3-4000 EUROs here in France.What kind of IDIOT would spend 1000 EUROs on a car that is worth maybe only 3000!?I might just as well buy a NEW car, right?NO WAY! THEY HAVE UNDERESTIMATED THE LEVEL OF "STUPIDITY" IN THIS GOY!So yeah, I have now replaced the broken catalysator with a NEW one.And to make sure it will pass, I got the most expensive one giving me EURO III emissions.

NEVER buy a new car. Fix/maintain your old car instead. The "market value" of your car is irrelevant.Let their economy stay slow, and slow down even further, until it stops, and they can no more use our money to destroy us and our heritage.Buy used things, repair broken things, maintain what works.
