The Pagan ideal is virginity until marriage. The Christian ideal is virginity. And for the Christian women to never marry and have children. Or men for that sake.
To the pagan European on the other hand, what matters is the family, the greater family, the tribe, the people and the race.
And this is where the church books enter the scene, you see, one of the means they used to destroy the greater families of Europe, to destroy our ancestral cult, to ensure that there would be no tribal identities in Europe was to deny a marriage between people.
You would not be allowed to marry your cousin, your second cousin, your third cousin, your fourth cousin, your fifth cousin, your sixth cousin, all the way up to the seventh cousin. So who were you going to marry? You had to find someone who was not, not only not from your family, your greater family I mean, your tribe, but from some other cities, maybe some other country.
